Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier Bois de Turquie Eau de Toilette
BRAND: MAITRE PARFUMEUR ET GANTIER MPG
In his perfume “Bois de Turquie” (Turkish Wood), Jean Paul Millet Lage wanted to restore the unique atmosphere felt by the visitor arriving in the strait of Bosphorus. Bridge between Orient and Occident, between Anatoly and Thrace, this destination awakes the most diverse emotions inside he who stops there, aroused by the rich mix of cultures and the variety of sensations.
This fragrance opens with a classic citrus accord: sweet, bright, fresh. Once they disappear and they do it fast, the heart of the fragrance reveals itself.

Richly brocaded motives of Iznik ceramics, Eminönü souk’s spicy flavors, mix themselves indistinctively with the power of the Taurus mountain. On its hillside grows noble Laurel : an aromatic plant with a naturally heady perfume, which the summer heat diffuses.
Fruit of a patient elaboration, “Bois de Turquie” expands slowly like a sensual dance and lets its last veils fall only to unroll at your feet the rich carpets of myrrh and incense, oriental aromas which captivate the senses and rapture the spirit. In all times used for their appeasing influence on the psyche, people used to tell, that the kings from the Orient felt a particular pleasure to breath these hypnotizing fragrances until they lost their mind...
Notes: orange blossom, mandarin orange, bergamot; orris root, jasmine, west indian bay, geranium; sandalwood, patchouli, incense and myrrh.
On my skin it is a tender composition of orris/iris framed by sparkly fruit and light floral notes. The dry down is characterised by sandalwood, it is velvety with a final touch of resins and strangely enough orange. Lasts for four hours on my skin.
