Amouage Honour Man Eau de Parfum

As with previous olfactory 'chapters', Creative Director Christopher Chong set about telling a story with this new fragrance. Inspired by the tragic denouement of Puccini's Madame Butterfly, Chong devised a lyrical scenario in which Butterfly's child, now a man, recalls early memories of his mother.

The fragrance is once more accompanied by a short film, bringing to life Chong's beautiful story in a brief but poignant filial eulogy. The filimic vignettes move from the joyful recall of a bright and beautiful young woman, through a sense of darkening doubt and foreboding, to an intimation of her final tragic demise. Just as the film harks back to Puccini's story, so the fragrance mirrors the conflicting sentiments of joy and tragedy, described by Chong as 'a white flower with a dark heart'.
